Description:
The job of an oral surgeon assistant includes: receiving patients, viewing charts, beginning patient preparation, making notes about performed procedures, progress, recommendations, and other subjects in the patient's charts and ensuring that surgical tools are properly cleaned and sterilized before procedures begin. Other duties include taking 3-D images, processing items such as removable dental appliances and casts or impressions. You will be responsible for tasks such as checking vital signs or maintaining IV fluid flows during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly, positive demeanor with patients and supported dental office team members
- Great administrative organizational skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
- Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry and dental procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to travel for training, occasionally out of state
- CPR Certified, Current
- X-Ray Certified
- Dental experience a plus
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience, stable work history, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

ENDODONTIC ASSISTANT

The Endodontic Assistant will maintain and organize all administrative functions in the front office, answering the office phone and distributing calls or messages accordingly, communicating patients’ arrival promptly, managing administrative records among other duties. The Endodontic Assistant will work with administrative scheduling, including maintaining office records, documenting patient dental treatments and transactions, following office procedures for patient referrals and scheduling of office appointments. The Endodontic Assistant will perform chairside endodontic treatment through a microscope and provide each patient with post-op instructions. Other duties include sterilization, making financial arrangements with patients before treatments and ordering dental supplies.

Front Office Receptionist

The Front Office Receptionist is a key member of the practice and provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care:
- Working at the reception desk
- Communicating with patients and providers
- Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments
- Reminding patients of upcoming appointments and tracking missed appointments
- Answering multiple telephones and accurately documenting messages
- Forwarding telephone calls appropriately and following up on return calls
- Checking-in patients and properly documenting registration
- Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics
- Filing medical records
- Retrieving medical records and delivering to appropriate providers
- Maintaining Electronic chart Files
- Copying and faxing
- Collecting co-pays and cash from patients, getting authorization on credit cards
- Entering charges, payments, and balancing the day in the computer
- Performing other related tasks as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:
This position requires the following minimal requirements:
- Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer
- Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to organize and communicate clearly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information
- Performing other related tasks as directed by supervisor.
